A Celebration of Christmas’ Past

The evening began at 7.00pm with a wassail cup reception and traditional yule log blessing, followed by a Dickensian banquet.
Entertainment was provided throughout the evening with Christmas carols, songs and readings.
Carriages arrived at 11.00pm
Everyone was encouraged to come dressed for the occasion
The Dickensian banquet commenced with a traditional Wassail Cup.
The banquet table was laiden with the following:
Venison and Chestnut Casserole
Pork and Chestnut Pie
Marmalade Glazed Ham
Old English Nog Tart
Port Wine Jelly
Chestnut and Bacon Stuffing
Celery Sauce, Mushroom Sauce
